Two of our senior members have recently had much to celebrate. Sophie Beldham passed her BHS examinations and now holds the Associate Instructor qualification with distinction and Victoria Edwards passed the new B+ Pony Club Efficiency Test. B+ is pitched as a major stepping stone towards the A test. These are both prestigious achievements and [...] By now you will be familiar with receiving regular emails from branch member Hazel Perry who has tirelessly organised rallies and events for the younger members of the branch, in addition to oganising teams and supporting members at competitions, for the past two years. Hazel was also the inspiration behind the hugely successful Mini Horse Trials run for the [...] Please share our congratulations to Hayley Moore on passing her Pony Club ‘A’ Test last year. Hayley was a member of the branch from 1991 to 2012 (yes, that is 21 years) and is, of course, no longer eligible for membership. We hopefully look forward to seeing Hayley again in the future as an instructor. [...] Ben Berrill and Ready Eddie Go represented the branch in the Area Showjumping Competition. They successfully qualified for the National Novice Championships held in Cheshire. This is Ben’s report of his experience competing in his first national competition.

Ben has been rewarded for his hard work with an ICT Scholarship. Well done! Mike Fiona Mitchell has kindly submitted the following report: Yesterday, a number of members competed at Southdown West’s dressage competition held at Albourne equestrian centre. It was a well organized show with excellent surfaces and warm up facilities. Well worth making a note in the diary for next years show as young inexperienced riders were really [...] Georgia Corrin and Oopsy Daisy had a great time at the East Sussex Dengie Dressage at Golden Cross today and came 1st in the walk and trot test with a score of 90%.
